New year, new projects!

01/01/2025

Yes, i’m writing this on the day i meant to post it (note: i didn’t actually lol), so happy New Year! I’m still dealing with a lot of chaos, and my mental health is in shambles, but i don’t want to dive into that right now. In fact, this entry is a rather positive one. I revived an old Instagram account (Click here if you want to see it) nd rebranded it as my official "art account." If you visited the website before last week (or so), you might have noticed that the main art has changed. That’s because i decided to update my pages with some new key visuals that still carry a cloudy/dreamy aesthetic that i'm already familiar with.

I used the same concept as my old design but completely remade it, and honestly, i feel pretty good about the results. (Okay, i’ll admit the character’s expression bothers me a little, but it kind of fits me, so i’m leaving it as is. Otherwise, i’ll fall down the rabbit hole of endlessly tweaking my art and never actually posting it).

In case you didn't see it these are the visuals:

I’ve also been inspired by my current tough times to start a new project. I’m still not entirely sure how it’s going to turn out, but i already have a pretty good idea of what I’m aiming for. I’d rather not spoil the thought behind it and i’d actually love for people to come up with their own interpretations. With this new art account, I feel more comfortable sharing my work. It’s also been a relief to finally have a dedicated space for my drawings and the freedom to make my main Instagram account private, keeping everything separate.

Here’s a sneak peek of my new project, "Look". I want to challenge myself and explore comics and animation a bit. While I studied the very basics of animation principles during my college motion design classes, i’ve never animated characters or full scenes like this before. So, I see this as a great opportunity to learn. Though the project might not be fully animated and have more like a comic-ish style i'm hoping it comes out right.
